Microfibre leather

What is microfibre leather?
The term "microfibre leather" appears more frequently on the internet and is used for various reasons. The offered materials are not leather, but imitation leather or microfibre.
- Google optimisation: Some vendors use the term in the search line to tell Google so that searchers who are looking for leather products are routed to their page. The term does not appear in the content of the page. The use of the term 'microfibre leather' in the description of an object which is not leather has to be classified as inadmissible, according to the leather identification standards.
- There are many suppliers on the internet who, contrary to the standards for the labelling of leather products, describe their product range of leather substitutes with the term microfibre leather.
Suppliers of artificial leather and other leather substitutes go to great lengths to link the material identification somehow with the word leather, without stating "artificial leather". On the one hand, you do not want to make your product appear inferior, and you want to lure the search engines on the internet to your own site, even if no leather is offered. The term microfibre leather is only one of infinitely different substitute material names for the designation artificial leather.
The cleaning and care of microfibre leather
Because microfibre leather has no clear definition, the material can look like a smooth leather or like Alcantara. If it is like a smooth leather, apply the care instructions for artificial leather. If it is like a fabric or textile, the care instructions for Alcantara apply.
