When leather is processed, leather is often glued. Leather glue is almost always used in the manufacture of shoes, bags, leather clothing, car seats or furniture. Leather is glued over the entire surface of foam upholstery or on dashboards. Industrially, glue is applied with a spray gun, and leather glue from a spray can is also used in small workshops. Often the use of glue and the sewing of leather are combined. For better stability or for fixation so that the leather does not shift during sewing.
Modern leather adhesives are water-based and therefore more environmentally friendly. Nevertheless, the adhesive strength of such leather glue is excellent.
