Man made leather

The expression "man made leather" is used in some English-speaking countries and only refers to imitation leather and not genuine leather. It does not have the quality characteristics of real leather. The term misleads about the fact that it is not leather. "Man made" sounds like craftsmanship but it's just pure synthetic, mass-produced, material.
