Scotchgrain was originally an embossing pattern to cover and hide damages in the leather. The embossing pattern looks like small plant seeds and damage cannot be clearly seen after embossing. Today, Scotchgrain is one of many typical embossing patterns on leather. Scotchgrain is commonly found on shoes, wallet, handbags and many other leather goods.
