Leather shoe sole oils

Leather sole oil is a care product for the waterproofing of leather soles of shoes. Soil oil also has to provides flexibility and wear and breaking resistance of the sole. When applying the oil, care must be taken that the sole is saturated, but the oil should not reach and stain the upper of the shoe. This is particularly important with porous leather such as suede, nubuck and aniline leather, where irreversible stains can occur on contact with the oil. A certain diligence is therefore indispensable.

Important! Despite a sufficient care with soil oil, leather shoes with leather soles will never be winter shoes. In case of humidity and snow, other shoes must be worn. Frequent moistening and winter salts damage leather soles severe.
