Aircraft leather

Aircraft leather must fulfil the special requirements of flammability and fire retardancy of leather (flame resistance, smoke density, etc.). When tanning, the leather must be treated to obtain these requirements. Such leathers are also used for helicopters.

To save fuel, aircraft leather is made extra light (light weight).
