Teflon leather is used for leather steering wheels. Such leathers have a Teflon finish, which is particularly resistant to damage caused by sweaty hands. Even with solvents, this surface cannot be dissolved. Such leather feels more plastic-like, which is not noticeable on steering wheels as the surface is firmer in comparison to other areas. This is one of the main reasons why it is barely used for upholstery leather. Colour repairs or adhesive bonding products do not have sufficient adhesion to Teflon leather. Hence, it is important to be careful.
