Sustainable Leather Foundation SLF
The "Sustainable Leather Foundation" (SLF) has made it its mission to inform end consumers about the topic of sustainability when it comes to leather. The focus areas are broad and include animal welfare, biodegradability, carbon footprint, chemistry, consumer communication, deforestation, biodiversity, ethical business practices, social responsibility, traceability and transparency. The Sustainable Leather Foundation also audits and certifies leather companies with regard to the corporate sustainability issues.
